How long does it take to charge 20 kWh with the MENNEKES AMTRON Professional+ TwinCharge?

At full power of 22 kW, about 55 min. If the car charges at 11 kW at most, it takes about 1 h 49 min. At 0.45 CHF/kWh, the charge costs CHF 9.00.

Do guests need an app or a charging card for the MENNEKES AMTRON Professional+ TwinCharge?

No. Guests scan the QR code at the charge point and pay in the browser with TWINT, Visa, Mastercard, PF Pay, Apple Pay or Google Pay. They do not need an account.

Does the MENNEKES AMTRON Professional+ TwinCharge have an MID meter?

Yes, according to MENNEKES an MID-compliant meter is built in. Ladehase bills with its readings.

Does the MENNEKES AMTRON Professional+ TwinCharge need Wi-Fi?

Not necessarily. The MENNEKES AMTRON Professional+ TwinCharge has a built-in mobile connection. You can also connect it to Wi-Fi.

Can residents or family charge with a card?

Yes. The MENNEKES AMTRON Professional+ TwinCharge has an RFID reader. You set up charging cards as access grants in Ladehase, free of charge or at a special rate with a monthly statement.

The AMTRON Professional+ TwinCharge serves two parking spaces with up to 22 kW each through Type 2 sockets. It has calibrated meters, RFID, LAN and mobile connectivity and speaks OCPP 1.6J. Good for hotels and company car parks where guests charge side by side.

Charging power also depends on the car: many electric cars charge on AC at 11 kW at most, some much less on a single phase. Charging losses are not included.

Example: 20 kWh at 11 kW, then the car stays at the charge point for 3 h. From 1 h after charging ends, every started minute costs 5 centimes.

Requirements

What you need so that guests can pay with the MENNEKES AMTRON Professional+ TwinCharge.

Internet: The MENNEKES AMTRON Professional+ TwinCharge has a built-in mobile connection and stays online even without Wi-Fi. You can also connect it to Wi-Fi.
Authorisation: The MENNEKES AMTRON Professional+ TwinCharge is connected to Ladehase via OCPP and only starts a charge after authorisation. The station is then tied to Ladehase rather than to another backend.
Payment account: An account with zahls.ch or Freika, where payments arrive directly. For the PAX IM30 terminal you need Freika.
Metering: The built-in MID meter provides the readings Ladehase bills with.
Sign: QR code and tariff clearly visible at the charge point, as a PDF to print yourself or ordered weatherproof.
